The site is a set of static files. GitHub serves them; it runs no application on our behalf, and there is no database.

What this site does with your data

Nothing, and that is not a turn of phrase — it is the reason the site is built the way it is.

The PDF tools run entirely in your browser. Documents you open are read by your own machine and are never sent anywhere, because there is no server here to receive them. Nothing about them is stored, logged or kept after you leave the page.

The site writes nothing to your browser at all — no cookie, no local storage, no session storage, no cache of your work. There is nothing to clear, because there is nothing there.

There are no analytics, no advertising, no trackers and no third-party scripts. This is checkable rather than merely stated: the counter at the top of the tools pages reports the requests the page makes, and the privacy page explains what it does and does not see.

Intellectual property

The Privascan name, the app and this site’s content belong to 89P13. The PDF engines the tools rely on are third-party open-source projects, used under their own licences, and their licence texts are published alongside them at /tools/vendor/.
